Air Peace Makes History with First Nonstop Abuja–St Kitts & Nevis Flight

In a bold stride toward global aviation leadership, Nigeria’s largest carrier, Air Peace, has achieved another milestone—successfully operating its first nonstop flight from Abuja to Basseterre, St Kitts & Nevis, on June 12, 2025.

The historic 10-hour flight, operated aboard a Boeing 777, departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, carrying Nigerian business and government delegations to the Eastern Caribbean for a Pan-African business conference.

✈️ Connecting Nigeria to the Caribbean—Again

This mission marks Air Peace’s third direct flight into the Caribbean in just five years, following previous milestones to Jamaica in 2020 and Antigua & Barbuda in 2023.

With this latest addition, Air Peace now offers direct access to three major Caribbean gateways, positioning Nigeria as a central hub for Afro-Caribbean cooperation and business.

“This flight is more than a route—it’s a bridge connecting Africa to its diaspora,” an official said during the reception ceremony in Basseterre.

🌍 A Global Ambition Takes Flight

The Abuja–St Kitts flight further illustrates Air Peace’s transformation from a domestic leader to an international aviation powerhouse. Operating with the same Boeing 777 model used for its popular Lagos–London Gatwick route (launched in March 2024), the airline continues to raise the bar for Nigerian aviation.

Chairman and CEO, Dr. Allen Onyema, confirmed that more long-haul aircraft acquisitions are underway, with direct services to Houston and New York currently in the pipeline.

“We’re not just flying; we’re forging new paths,” Onyema said. “Our dream remains: Nigeria to the world — no stops, no limits.”

🇳🇬 From Abuja to the World

The successful nonstop service from Abuja to St Kitts signals a new era of direct intercontinental connectivity from Nigeria’s capital. It’s also a powerful endorsement of Abuja’s growing status as a global business and travel hub.

For local travelers, diplomats, investors, and the Nigerian diaspora, this route offers not only convenience, but also symbolic pride in a national carrier that continues to break new ground.
