The scale of the league is impressive, with Momoh announcing that over 180 matches are scheduled to be played throughout its five-month duration. This extensive program signifies a significant commitment to providing consistent and competitive football action for both players and fans alike.
“This league is professionally packaged to set a new benchmark for grassroots football development in the FCT,” Momoh confidently stated, highlighting the meticulous planning and high standards envisioned for the tournament.

The Kuje Football League also aligns seamlessly with the broader sports development agenda championed by the FCT administration. Momoh noted that “This league is a timely addition to the ongoing efforts by the FCT administration,” indicating a collaborative spirit in fostering sporting opportunities within the territory.
Crucially, the LOC successfully secured sponsorship to bring this vision to life. “We reached out to sponsors, and thankfully, Pepsi came on board to support the vision; the league promises not just excitement and competition, but also tangible rewards,” Momoh announced with enthusiasm.
The stakes are high, with significant cash prizes on offer to incentivize competitive excellence. The winner of the maiden Kuje Football League will take home a substantial cash prize of N1.6 million, while the second and third-place teams will be rewarded with N600,000 and N400,000 respectively.
Adding further value to the tournament and ensuring a professional appearance for the participating teams, Momoh revealed, “In addition, Pepsi, our main sponsor, will provide jerseys for the participating teams to ensure uniformity and to add value to the tournament.”
